Lavin is the daughter of a U.S. Army/Vietnam Veteran and an accomplished artist, author, and historian. Over the last twenty-five years, Lavin has painted while also holding leadership roles in the White House, Congress and with various elected officials throughout the southeast. Her art is, or has been, displayed in the White House, the U.S. Capitol, and the Georgia State Capitol. as well as numerous private residences, board rooms and businesses

Her family and extensive travels throughout the U.S. and abroad have influenced her love for the US flag, it’s history and all it symbolizes. She also paints flags of other states and countries, university, club and family crests, and landscapes as commissioned. Lavin splits her time between Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
